I think that the park is a really good idea, because it would be something kind of removed from the rest of Troy, as it is in the middle of campus. It would look really beautiful and impressive to people form outside the RPI community, and provide a nice sunny (or snowy) place in the midst of the city.
The council had come up with a couple ideas. The coolest of which is to renovate the 86' field after the new east athletic complex is built. We could make a park and put a class statue remembering the Class of 2010 in the middle. We were also thinking of having each class after our plant their class tree in the park. We could name it "student park" or something. We will see.
A park would be really nice, especially if some kind of small stream could be arranged to run through it. Lots of big trees, a place where you could read a book or do homework outside.
a huge clock ( maybe digital ) atop the DCC that can be seen all across campus.. maybe it rotates or something. maybe it should have a message board. I dunno thats what some people were telling me we should have

my friend has been pressuring me to tell u guys about the clock idea and then he also wants public urinals like outside residence halls .. lol i dont think thats a good idea though.
